Eni has increased its production rate at the Zubair field in Iraq under the Zubair technical service contract with Iraq’s South Oil Company.
Eni is the lead contractor of the consortium, which was formed for the redevelopment of the Zubair field near Basra, and has a 32.81% share in the project.

The field’s production rate increased from its initial rate of 183,000 barrels of oil per day to a sustained rate of over 201,000bopd.
The consortium plans to increase production from the Zubair field to 1.2 million barrels of oil a day.
