Exillon Energy has discovered oil in two of its wells, EWS-16 and EWS-391, located in West Siberia.

EWS-16, drilled on a northern extension of the EWS I field, flowed water-free oil at a flow rate of 370 barrels per day and reached a target depth within the Jurassic P reservoir at 1,823m.

Exillon drilled the well 975m to the north of the well pad, and the well will now be connected to the existing production facilities.

EWS-391, spudded on a north-western part of the East EWS I field, encountered a producing Jurassic P reservoir at 1,862m.

The well was drilled 1,030m to the north-west of well pad 30 and will be connected to the existing production facilities once testing is complete.
