The company will spend $2m on the first phase, which includes upgrades to its facilities and infrastructure in order to reduce operating costs associated with current and future oil production.
Tri-Valley president and CEO Maston Cunningham said the company has a 100% working interest in the Claflin and Brea lease areas, which offer an excellent opportunity to substantially increase its net oil production.
The second phase of expansion will include the drilling of horizontal wells and additional vertical wells, as well as initial drilling on the Brea site.
