ExxonMobil has resumed normal operations at its Baton Rouge refinery in Louisiana, US, after completing a turnaround.

The successful turnaround means that the plant can now process 525,000 barrels of oil a day, reports Bloomberg.

The Baton Rouge plant has a fluid catalytic cracking capacity of 243,000 barrels a day, according to the US Energy Department’s Energy Information Administration.

The refinery processes domestic crude from Louisiana, Texas, Mississippi and Alaska, and imports crude from Mexico, the North Sea, West Africa, South America, Central America and the Arabian Gulf.
