Dao Ruang-2 well was drilled to a depth of 2,212m into the eastern flank of the Dao Ruang structure, targeting a swarm of faults and fractures identified from high-resolution 3D seismic data.
The well has intersected a number of fracture zones with associated gas shows and experienced gas influx associated with a fault system at 1,840m.
The section was tested following an acid wash and has recorded sub-commercial flow rates indicating very low permeability format ion and a limited open, connected fracture network at the DR-2 location.
