Enterprise Products is planning to extend the Eagle Ford Shale crude oil pipeline system in Texas, US, as part of a long-term transportation agreement with Chesapeake Energy.
As part of the phase II extension, Enterprise Products will build an 80-mile extension of the crude oil pipeline, serve growing production areas in the south-western portion of the play.

The phase II project would start in Wilson County, Texas, and extend to a site near Gardendale, La Salle County, Texas, where a new central delivery point will be constructed to feature 500,000 barrels of storage.
On completion, a crude oil pipeline about 220 miles long will provide Eagle Ford Shale producers access to the Texas Gulf Coast refining complex.
The phase II project is scheduled to commence operations in the first quarter of 2013.
