Halliburton has been awarded a contract from Chevron to provide integrated services for shale natural gas exploration in Poland.
Under the three-year contract, Halliburton’s contract covers drilling, cementing, mud logging, coiled tubing, slickline services, well testing and hydraulic fracturing.

Work on the initial shale gas exploration drilling programme is expected to begin in the fourth quarter of this year.
Brady Murphy, Halliburton senior vice-president for Europe / West Africa, said the firm had invested early in Poland and now has the people and the technologies in place to support the growing market.
