Exoma Energy has begun drilling the Katherine-1 well, which is located in the Eromanga Basin, Queensland, Australia.
This is the fifth well to be drilled under the 2011 exploration programme. It will be tested for shale gas in the Toolebuc Formation and conventional oil in the Hutton Sandstone as a secondary target.
