Kinder Morgan Energy Partners (KMP) is to build and operate a new 136 mile, 16 inch pipeline for the transportation of petroleum products in the US.
KMP will partner Valero Energy in a joint venture that will own the new $220m Parkway Pipeline.

The pipeline will transport petrol, jet fuel and diesel from refineries in Norco, Louisiana, to an existing petroleum transportation hub in Collins, Mississippi.
From the hub, the refined petroleum products will be transported by pipeline systems, including Plantation, which serve major markets in southeast US.
The pipeline will have an initial capacity of 110,000 barrels a day with the ability to expand to more than 200,000bpd.
