Aker Solutions is moving its process and pipeline business operations from Aberdeen, Scotland, to a new 10,000ft² location in Stavanger, Norway.
The company will provide its pipeline inspection and maintenance services, which includes flooding, cleaning, gauging, pigging, hydrostatic testing, dewatering and drying and barrier testing, through the unit.

The firm will also increase its process services, which includes flushing and cleaning, flange management and pipe freezing, as well as shutdown, commissioning and start-up for onshore and offshore process systems through nitrogen purging and helium leak testing.
The move is part of a plan to improve the firm’s service and maintenance offering on the Norwegian Continental Shelf.
