Mexico’s state oil company Pemex has awarded a contract to Copavisa for the construction of pipelines for its Veracruz project.

Copavisa won the tender for the project with a bid of $8.77m (115m pesos), according to Oil & Gas Journal.

The Veracruz project is the second-largest producer of non-associated natural gas in Mexico, and also produces oil and associated gas.

Construction has been scheduled to begin in mid-November 2009 and is expected to complete in two years.
