Oil prices remained stable on Friday at below $78 a barrel after a stronger US dollar and low stock markets resulted in a 2% drop yesterday.

December delivery for US crude increased by 29¢ to $77.75 a barrel by 7.06 GMT, and is expected to record a 1.7% increase this week, according to Reuters.

Brent crude rose to $77.93, representing a 29¢ increase.

This week, crude prices fluctuated with the dollar, increasing over $3 on Monday and then declining over $2 on Thursday.
