Qatar will supply India up to four million tonnes of additional LNG by 2014 to meet the country’s growing energy needs.
Qatar Energy Minister Abdullah al-Attiyah told the Press Trust of India that the nation will supply one million tonnes of LNG in 2011 and then ramp it up to four million tonnes by 2014.

The export will add to the current 7.5 million tonnes that Qatar’s Rasgas supplies to Petronet LNG.
“We are discussing additional LNG supplies to Petronet, GAIL and Dabhol Plant,” al-Attiyah said.
