Marathon Oil Corporation has annnounced plans to bring its expanded Louisiana refinery up to full production of about 20 million gallons of fuel a day, despite adverse market conditions.
Following the upgrade, the refinery produces approximately 19.5 million gallons of gasoline and other fuels a day. An increase on the previous 12 million gallons, reports Businessweek.

The unit is also processing 436,000 barrels of oil a day, an increase on the earlier 256,000 barrels of oil a day.
When the new units began service in late 2009 and the retooled older portion returned to production late in February 2010, teh Louisiana refinery become the fourth-largest refinery in the US.
