The Iraqi Ministry of Oil has awarded a feasibility study and front-end engineering design contract to Foster Wheeler for a new refinery at Nassiriya, Iraq.
The proposed refinery will have a capacity of 300,000 barrels a day.

Foster Wheeler will develop the configuration of the refinery to meet the country’s processing objectives, evaluate proprietary technologies and prepare a report on the feasibility of the project, the company said.
The firm will also prepare the front-end engineering design package for the project.
