Thai Oil is studying a refining capacity expansion worth about $300m, according to CEO Surong Bulakul.

The oil-refining arm of the energy firm plans to seek approval from its board for the investment by the end of this year, according to bangkokpost.com.

“If the project is viable commercially, we should be able to start construction next year and start operating in 2012,” Bulakul said.
