Siemens will supply components for the Shanjing III Yangqu station in Shanxi province and the gas pipeline project Jining in East China for the China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC).

The orders include two variable speed drive (VSD) systems for Shanjing III and four centrifugal compressors Jining.

The Shanjing III pipeline supplies natural gas from the western province Shaanxi to China’s capital Beijing.

The first order is a follow up contract based on performance in the Shanjing I and Shanjing II extension and the VSDs will be delivered in 2011.

The Jining pipeline will connect the West to East gas pipeline I and Shanjing II gas pipeline.

In China, 50,000km of pipelines are planned in the upcoming years, according to Siemens.
