Cheniere Energy Partners has won authorisation from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission to construct and operate facilities for the liquefaction and export of natural gas, at the Sabine Pass LNG terminal located in Cameron Parish, in the US state of Louisiana.

The proposed $10bn liquefied natural gas (LNG) export plant will be developed on the same site as Cheniere’s existing LNG import plant and will be the first facility of its kind to be built in the US.
