The first phase of the Gulf Petrochem Group’s oil storage terminal project in Fujairah, the UAE is close to completion and set to begin operations in October this year.
The Sharjah-based company said phase one will have capacity of up to 1.2 million cubic metres of storage.

The Fujairah terminal leverages the infrastructure of the two oil terminals berths of Fujairah port which together provide seven berths for large tankers and 12 berths for small tankers.
Terminal one has a maximum draft of 14m and a wharf length of 847m, while the second terminal has a maximum draft of 18m and a wharf length of 1,400m.
Gulf Petrochem Group sources base oil from all over the world with the goal to achieve a target of 150,000 metric tonnes for 2012 globally.
