Dunlop Oil & Marine is a world leader in the design, manufacture and supply of hoses for the oil, gas and petrochemical industries, for both offshore and onshore based operations. Our manufacturing plant in Grimsby, UK, has been in operation for over 50 years and is the largest offshore hose manufacturing facility in the world. Our confidence in our ability to continue to meet customer expectations is enhanced by our position as part of the ContiTech fluid handling division of Continental.
Our hoses are installed widely in all offshore oil-producing regions of the world, and we have local representatives in over 50 countries supporting our regional sales managers.
Since we started producing offshore hoses over 50 years ago we have been responsible for the key innovations in this area, including supply of hoses for the world's first single-point mooring, the first integrally floated hose, Selflote, and the first double-carcass floating and submarine hoses, Saflote and Safgard.
Our innovation continues with the design of our DEEPFLO deepwater hose, built to comply with the demanding API17K standard, and our introduction of the first hose suitable for Arctic conditions.
Dunlop Oil & Marine produces a comprehensive range of hoses for OCIMF applications and we have an unrivalled supply record worldwide for our single-carcass floating hose Selflote (field proven for over 40 years), our double-carcass anti-pollution floating hose Saflote (field proven for 35 years) and our double-carcass anti-pollution submarine hose Safgard (field proven for 25 years). Hoses can be supplied for a variety of mooring systems, including CALM, SALM, CBM, tandem, catenary and reeling applications.
Our DEEPFLO product has been designed in accordance with the stringent API17K specification for service in challenging deepwater environments where long service life is essential. Its patented decoupling system and lightweight construction reduces loads, installation time and energy requirements.
Dunlop Oil & Marine supplies hoses suitable for carrying a wide range of products, including crude oil, refined petroleum products (e.g. gasoline, diesel, kerosene, fuel oil and naphtha), chemicals (e.g. anhydrous ammonia, sulphuric acid and phosphoric acid), bitumen and LPG.
Additionally, hoses can be custom-designed for varied applications, including roof tank drainage, steelmaking, ship-to-ship transfer and naval applications.
Compound development and processing, research and development, customer support and services, and sales and marketing are all carried out in-house. This self-sufficiency means that we are able to offer rapid prototyping, customised solutions, comprehensive hose life extension support and unrivalled levels of customer service, both before and after sales.
