Task Environmental Services Worldwide was set up by Ben J. Többen in 1994. Ben had been an advisor in the drilling industry for over 15 years when he started Task.

Task Environmental Services Worldwide now relies on nearly 20 years of experience, acquired from right across the globe. It is a relatively small company of 15 enthusiastic and committed service engineers and operators. Clients can therefore always count on our personal and dedicated approach ‘to get the Task done’.

Solids control and mudcooling equipment

Task offers a variety of products and services. We rent technically advanced solids control and mudcooling equipment for the exploration of gas and oil and for slop oil treatment. Constantly searching for improvement and innovation, we also design, manufacture and maintain solids control equipment. It goes without saying that all our machines are safe, efficient and environmentally friendly.

Task offers competitive rates, including service contracts. Together with the equipment we can provide solids control engineers to optimise and guarantee the efficiency of the machines. Our engineers can assist the mud engineer if required. Our equipment can be deployed for a broad range of specialist activities, including:

All of these systems can be modified to meet individual client requirements.

Linear motion shaker for the drilling industry

The Task linear motion shaker (LMS) was especially designed for use in the drilling industry. The LMS is a fine screen vibrating shale shaker with two sections of screens in series. The deck angle is adjustable up or down to +/-3°. This allows flexible control of the retention of the cuttings for a maximum separation of liquid and solids.

High-speed solid bowl decanting centrifuges

The Task T450-SH is a high-speed solid bowl decanting centrifuge, in which the concentric conveying scroll rotates at a slightly different speed from that of the bowl. The separation of solids from contaminated fluids is continuous. The bowl is frequency driven and the scroll is hydraulically driven. The scroll is driven directly by means of a rotodiff and the bowl by an electrical motor and V-belts. The bowl and scroll speed can be changed independently. The hydraulic oil is cooled by a radiator with a ventilator.

The Task T420-FH is a high-speed solid bowl decanting centrifuge, in which the concentric conveying scroll rotates at a slightly different speed from that of the bowl. The separation of solids from contaminated fluids is continuous. The bowl and scroll are both hydraulically driven. The bowl and scroll speed can be changed independently.

Hydrocyclones for the offshore industry

All Task 4in desiltercyclones are made from a durable polymeric material. These hydrocyclones offer high-temperature tolerance, greater resistance to erosion, and low-cost replacement. They also have preferred flange connections for tight, leak-proof assembly.

Involute feed entry – rather than conventional tangential entry – is another advantage of Task hydrocyclones. This design separates the solids more efficiently, saves valuable fluid, and reduces wear at the feed inlet. All 4in cones are mounted on rugged skids with lifting eyes to facilitate handling.

High-speed oil / water separator

The Task T-OSB-35 is a high-speed separator used for separation of an oil / water mixture. By means of very high G-forces, oil, water and solids up to 1% are separated from each other, all depending on water content in the oil mixture and emulsion strength.

The separator is controlled by a Siemens Simatic C7 PLC. The complete drive system is explosion proof and suitable to operate in Zone 1. The unit is containerised and mounted on top of a frame. In the frame a sludge catch tank and a sludge pump are mounted.

Offshore mudcoolers

The patented offshore mudcooler is one of the world-class mudcoolers developed by Task Environmental Services for the oil and gas industry. The mud is cooled in the heat exchanger by means of a glycol / water mixture, which in its turn is cooled down in the second heat exchanger by seawater. The glycol / water mixture circulates through the system by means of an electric-driven centrifugal circulation pump.

The mudcooler offers the following advantages:

  • Extremely suitable for mudcooling for HP/HT drilling
  • Extends useful life of drilling equipment
  • Environmentally friendly
  • Improves working conditions
