Aker Solutions has secured a contract to deliver three umbilicals and associated equipment to ENI's Coral South project, an offshore field in Mozambique.  

The scope of work covers three steel tube umbilicals that will total over 19km in length and link the Coral South floating liquefied natural gas (FLNG) facility to the field's subsea production system.

The umbilicals will be made at Aker Solutions' plant in Moss, Norway, and delivered at the end of 2019.

Discovered in 2012, the Coral South field is the first energy project offshore Mozambique.

The two firms have not disclosed the financial value of the contract.
