Oil and gas remote downhole and wellbore camera specialist EV has entered a six-month agreement with BP Norway to deploy its wellbore technology on BP’s North Sea assets.

EV’s next-generation cameras allow pictures to be taken in remote and challenging oil and gas environments; for example, within the wellbore from surface to reservoir.

The cameras provide valuable information including a live-streaming video from the installation to a smartphone, thereby allowing critical and informed decisions to be made.

EV has also been named BP’s preferred supplier of camera and video inspection tools for the UK sector.

EV, through its extensive activity with BP, has applied its complete Optis suite of downhole camera equipment to the RT120 drill-pipe deployment system.

EV VP business development David Clover said EV’s technology suite will allow operators to gain considerable confidence in their systems, which will ensure asset integrity.
