Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.96% share in March 2022, recording an increase of 0.32% over the last three-month average share.

2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 15.58% share, a decrease of 16.07% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 14.92%, registering a 26.23% decline from February 2022.
4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 13.15%, down 13.14% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in the US’s IT recruitment activity in March 2022
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 52.37% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the US’s oil & gas industry during March 2022 over February 2022.
Koch Industries posted 145 IT jobs in March 2022 and registered a drop of 68.34% over the previous month, followed by Exxon Mobil with 72 jobs and a 41.18% growth. Air Products and Chemicals with 30 IT jobs and John Wood Group with 28 jobs, recorded a 49.15% decline and a 133.33% growth, respectively, while Baker Hughes recorded a decline of 50% with 27 job postings during March 2022.
Junior Level job postings dominate in March 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 59.89%, down by 19.7% from February 2022. Mid Level positions with a 26.52% share, registered a decline of 24.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 13.26% share, down 48.5% over February 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.33%, recording a month-on-month decline of 40%.
