1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 37.6% in April 2022, registering a 30.56% growth over the previous month.

2) Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a 19.2% share, a decrease of 7.69% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 18.4%, registering a 64.29% rise from March 2022.

4) Computer and Information Analysts captured a share of 12%, up 275% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in the UK’s IT recruitment activity in April 2022

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 63.49% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of the UK’s oil & gas industry during April 2022 over March 2022.

Shell posted 71 IT jobs in April 2022 and registered a rise of 238.1% over the previous month, followed by LyondellBasell Industries with 15 jobs and a flat growth. BP with 8 IT jobs and John Wood Group with 5 jobs, recorded a 50% decline and a 37.5% decrease, respectively, while Anglian Water Services recorded an increase of 33.33% with 4 job postings during April 2022.

Junior Level job postings dominate in April 2022

Junior Level jobs held a share of 66.4%, up by 43.1% from March 2022. Mid Level positions with a 27.2% share, registered an increase of 78.95% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 5.6% share, down 30% over March 2022, while Senior postings accounted for 0.8%, recording a month-on-month decline of 66.67%.
