Weatherford International plc has announced the issue of senior unsecured notes, due in 2021 and 2023. The issue will raise a total principal amount of $1bn.

The amount raised from the issue is intended to increase the maximum total purchase price for recently announced tender offers or to repay other outstanding financial obligations if the tenders are not consummated.

Weatherford has appointed Latham & Watkins LLP as the legal advisor for the offering.

Solstad Offshore ASA has announced a private placement of 20 million shares priced at $1.53 each.

Subscribed to by Aker ASA, the placement will raise $30.55m, which will strengthen the balance sheet of Solstad Offshore.

Solstad has appointed Arctic Securities AS and Wikborg, Rein & Co as financial and legal advisors for the transaction respectively.

Suncor Energy Inc has agreed to dispose 71,500,000 shares from treasury through a bought deal offer. The issue is scheduled for completion by 22 June, and will raise $1.94bn for the company.

In addition, the underwriters including TD Securities, CIBC Capital Markets and JP Morgan Securities Canada have been granted with a 30-day over-allotment option to buy up to an additional 10,700,000 common units.

The amount raised from will be used to fund the acquisition of an additional 5% stake in the Syncrude JV and to understate liabilities.

Tesco Corporation has announced the pricing for a public issue of seven million common shares. Priced at $7 a share, the public offer will raise $49m for the company.

Underwriters that include Merrill Lynch, Pierce, Fenner & Smith Incorporated have a 30-day option to buy an additional 1.05 million common shares.

The amount raised is intended to fund the working capital requirements and capital outlays, and for other general corporate purposes.

Tesco has appointed Norton Rose Fulbright Canada LLP as legal advisor for the issue, which is scheduled for closure on 14 June 2016.

Bridge Petroleum Limited has agreed to acquire a 25% stake in P1606 Orlando License in UK North Sea, from Atlantic Petroleum North Sea Limited.

The deal implies a combination of $1.07m cash consideration and a remitted share in the sales revenue from the P1606 Orlando production.

The agreement is contingent on the Bridge Petroleum’s acquisition of Iona UK Limited and will ensure Bridge Petroleum to own 100% stake in P1606.
