UK-based oil and gas exploration and production company Heritage Oil has acquired a 51% interest in Libya-based Sahara Oil Services for $19.5m.

Heritage said that Sahara Oil has long-term permits and licences to provide onshore and offshore oilfield services in Libya, as well as the rights to own and operate oil and gas licences.
