Fluor has awarded Clough Downer Joint Venture a $600m contract for the construction of pipelines, compression facilities and associated infrastructure relating to the Fairview component of the Santos Gladstone LNG project in Australia.
The work includes building 400km of gas and water transmission pipelines, two compression facilities and an 800-person camp, along with the expansion of the Fairview compression facilities.

Construction work will begin this month.
The GLNG project sources gas from Santos’s gas fields in the Bowen and Surat basins and transports the gas through a 420km underground pipeline to a two-train LNG plant with a capacity of 7.8 million tonnes per year on Curtis Island, Gladstone.
