Qatar’s Ras Laffan Liquefied Natural Gas has delivered its first cargo of LNG to Portugal.

The cargo was delivered to Galp Energia SGPS at the Sines LNG terminal onboard Al Deebel, according to Bloomberg.

Ras Laffan is a joint venture between ExxonMobil and Qatar Petroleum.

By 2010 Qatar will supply 30% of the world’s LNG, of which RasGas will ship around half, the company claims.
