Iberdrola will deliver LNG equivalent to about one billion cubic metres of natural gas per year to renewables energy specialist Dong Energy under a new agreement.
Iberdrola will supply LNG to the Gate terminal in the port of Rotterdam. The terminal is co-owned by Dong Energy, which has three billion cubic metres of the terminal’s import capacity at its disposal per year.

The terminal is being built and is expected to be in operation in 2011.
The ten-year delivery agreement includes an option for a five-year extension with the deliveries expected to begin from late 2011.
