Saudi Kayan Petrochemicals plans to commence operations at its primary units in its petrochemical complex in Jubail, Saudi Arabia in the second half of 2010.
Kayan chairman Mutlaq al-Morished said that about 95% of the engineering, procurement and construction activities at the complex have been completed.

The project’s annual production capacity is expected to be 6 million tonnes of petrochemicals, including propylene, ethylene and ethylene glycol from 16 plants.
Kayan said that it received fuel gas from Saudi Aramco to commence trial activities at its utilities.
