Rosneft’s oil production complex Tyumenneftegaz has started supplies of oil to the domestic Zapolyarye-Purpe pipeline system from Russkoye field.
Discovered in 1968, the oil field is located in the Tazovsky District of the Yamalo-Nenets Autonomous Okrug, Russia.

According to the company, construction and commissioning of the first launch complex facilities at the Zapolyarnoye delivery and acceptance point increased the efficiency of oil transportation.
The new facility is fitted with advanced oil measuring and feedstock quality controlling system.
Rosneft said in a statement: “The oil delivered to the Zapolyarye-Purpe pipeline system complies with GOST 51858-2002 and EEU Regulations 045/2017, and meets all the requirements of the technical specifications for connecting oil production facilities to oil trunk pipelines.”
The company said that the target for oil supplies from the field is up to ten million tonnes per annum (Mtpa).

Rosneft noted that the oil produced from Russkoye field is of low-paraffin and low-sulfur, and it has better quality than Brent oil due to its commercial properties.
The produced oil at the field is of high density and viscosity. It does not freeze even at a temperature of -26°C.
According to the estimates, geological reserves of the field are at 1.5 billion tonnes and its recoverable reserves reach 448 million tonnes.
Tyumenneftegaz is primarily engaged in the development of the Russkoye field, which is one of the largest fields in Russia.
Rosneft mentioned that the field has significant oil reserves ready for development.
