Brazil-based Doris Engenharia has selected software service provider Intergraph to design the topsides of eight floating, production, storage and offloading (FPSO) vessels for global energy company Petrobras.
The FPSOs will be used for pre-salt layer exploration.

Doris will use its SmartMarine Enterprise solutions suite for the project’s front-end engineering design phase, estimated to be completed within a year.
Petrobras will also open a new bid for the detailed design part of the project, where SmartMarine Enterprise will be the preferred product suite for all engineering, procurement and construction companies.
