Saudi Aramco has extended the bid submission deadline for two offshore refurbishment jobs tendered to its long-term agreement (LTA) pool of contractors to 17 May.

The tenders, which have been issued under the Contracts Release and Purchase Order (CRPO) system, are CRPO numbers 60 and 61.

The combined value of the two engineering, procurement, construction and installation (EPCI) jobs is estimated to be between $160m and $180m.

The previous bid submission date for both CRPO 60 and CRPO 61 was 3 May. The tenders for CRPO 60 and 61 were issued on 23 March and 26 March, respectively.

The scope of work on CRPO 60 calls for undertaking brownfield work to refurbish and position a production platform at Juaymah on a production header.

The contract value is estimated to be about $15m.

Execution of the CRPO 60 job might require heavy lifting of approximately 35t to 40t. CRPO 61 broadly calls for EPCI work on the Marjan offshore field development, and entails:

  • Installation of a new production deck module (PDM) at the Marjan 690/699 platform
  • Refurbishment work at the 26/28 auxiliary platform
  • Laying of a 3km-long, 12in, 15kv pipeline between Marjan 690/699 platform and the 26/28 platform
  • Modification work at gas oil separation plant (GOSP) 2

The contract value of CRPO 60 is between $160m and $170m. CRPO 60 is the revised tender for CRPO 58, which called for similar EPCI works on the Marjan field.

MEED earlier reported that Aramco had put on hold the tendering process for CRPO 58 in order to retender the job later.
