STX France is part of STX Europe, comprising 15 shipyards in six countries and employing 16,000 people. The formerly-named Chantiers de l’Atlantique, which built the largest passenger ships, the most complex specialised vessels for the oil and gas, marine and scientific markets, is now used by STX France to produce modules and living quarters for oil and gas fields.

Design, engineering and EPC contracts

Based on its experience as system integrator, STX France leads a highly-skilled network of specialised partners and quality suppliers in a value chain approach, through which it has gained the capability to deliver integrated turnkey products. STX France is able to offer clients full support services during all phases of the product lifecycle, from pre-FEED phase to delivery.

STX France’s wholly-owned subsidiary, STX France Solutions, offers engineering services, including HVAC, interior architecture, detailed design, project management and training for the shipbuilding, energy and construction industries. Contracts with major oil and gas players such as Total, Technip and Saipem prove, each time, the efficiency and reliability of STX France Solutions’s team.

Living quarters and cabin modules

STX France has a recognised experience in the development of prototypes and customisation of living quarters to meet specific client requirements. Tailor-made products can be delivered through the STX France consolidated project management process.
Living quarters optimisation is where STX France’s expertise lies, thanks to complex passenger vessels building (6,500 persons / 17 decks).

STX France designs and constructs specialised ships and vessels for the marine, energy and offshore industries.
STX France provides maintenance, retrofitting and technical assistance, such as HVAC optimisation.
The company is industry-renowned as a leader in shipbuilding and construction, and offers training and technical assistance on a range of projects.
Services include hull and living quarters design, and interior architecture and construction.
Modules are fabricated in workshops and can be easily connected via a ‘plug and play’ connectivity.

Prefabricated cabins offer many advantages for offshore living quarters construction in reducing costs, improving productivity and reducing the installation time. The cabins are industrially produced and tested; their performances are guaranteed to the standard requested by the client. We are able to apply the standard design Norsok offshore platforms.

Once pre-fabricated in workshops, cabins are installed via the ‘plug and play’ quick connection system.

Process / power modules in EPC

Modules, such as electrical substations (electrical power plant on ship: up to 130MW), HVAC, water treatment, process modules (piping: design, coordination and integration of 250km on ships), can be produced in EPC contracts.

STX France is able to offer clients full support services during all phases of the product lifecycle, from initial design phase to delivery. The STX France services division provides maintenance, retrofitting and technical assistance.
