Matting for offshore sites

Whether your specific matting needs call for offshore work platforms, safety walkways, extreme climates, crane support, pipeline jobs, temporary road access, bridge trestles, drilling pads, environmental remediation or other applications, we can provide the best matting solution for your unique specifications and criteria.

Composite matting

Composite mats from Industrial Matting offer strong, stable and uniform work surfaces for a variety of industrial and construction environments. Our composite mats come textured with different patterns and materials to provide excellent traction for all types of foot and vehicle traffic. They have proven to be one of the best solutions for long-term use under some of the most unruly site conditions and usages.

Most of our composite mats are made from ultra-high molecular weight (UHMW) and high-density polyethylene (HDPE). These are extremely durable in the harshest environments and applications. As well as heavy-duty mats, we also carry light-duty mats which are small enough to pick up and move by hand.

Some composite mats come fully integrated with an interlocking system as well as an overlapping edge to create an impervious or puncture-proof surface. Standard sizes come in 4.25in x 8ft x 14ft, 1.75in x 6.5ft x 13ft and 0.5in x 4ft x 8ft. We also manufacture custom sizes. Our composite mats are very environmentally friendly and are 100% recyclable.

Engineered matting

We produce engineered mats with guaranteed values for shear, PSI, deflection and other valuable engineering ratings. Our engineered mats are tested and proof loaded to 150% of the standard.

Reinforced steel rig mats

Also known as rig mats, steel mats and drilling mats, these come in standard sizes of 6in x 8ft x 20ft, 30ft and 40ft in 3in, 4in and 6in thicknesses. Custom sizes and features such as fork lift protectors, shackles and connectors are also available upon request.

Wooden matting

Crane mats, laminated mats, digging mats and other wooden mats are available for almost any application. Our wooden mats are built ISPM ready. They are available for export because they’ve been kiln dried, treated, or both.

Logistics

Freight and logistics can be time-consuming and costly. However, due to our large volumes of shipping, Industrial Matting can provide discounted shipping rates via truck, rail, container, break bulk, vessel and LTL.

Industrial Matting stocking locations are strategically located throughout North America, Europe and Asia. We are able to respond quickly and professionally to your needs.

We extend an invitation to all of our customers to pick up our mats from any Industrial Matting factory or loading yard. Customer pick up allows our clients the opportunity to see our mats close-up and hand select what gets loaded onto their outbound trucks and containers. Arriving in person also allows you to be in control of your own freight rates should you choose to do so.

Matting innovations

Industrial Matting actively works on the creation of better and more effective products, processes, services, technologies and ideas.

Innovate. Create. Execute. We continually look for high-calibre ideas to improve environmental protection, customer safety and beneficial ways to help customers save money.

Environment

Industrial Matting seeks the cooperation of local authorities, community members and companies to protect biodiversity and environmental habitats at every opportunity. Simple steps can be taken to control erosion, cross-contamination and other harmful effects caused by erroneous construction practices.
