Govan is certified to ISO 9001 and its products certified by internationally recognized testing and certifying bodies for ANZ Ex , IEC Ex and ATEX . Govan products are used by the major companies in Australia and are exported to major companies in the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

The design team at Govan use computer aided drafting to produce the full range of equipment for the different product protection techniques, Flameproof Ex d, Increased Safety Ex e, non-sparking Ex n, Dust ignition proof DIP and in preparing customized designs to meet with client requirements.

Ex lighting

Govan Industries offers a range of hazardous area lighting (Exd, Exn, Exe and DIP) for customers in the offshore industry, including the following:

Ex d lighting Zone 1 and 2.

Ex n and DIP lighting for Zone 2, Zone 21 and 22.

Ex d junction boxes, control stations and panels for Zone 1 and 2.

Ex e and Ex tD (DIP) junction boxes, control stations and panels.

The wellglass and floodlight fittings come configured with a range of wattages for HID type lamps in high pressure sodium (HPS), metal halide (MH) and mercury vapour (MV).

The fittings come with different mountings, reflectors and accessories for use in applications such as high bay, low bay, yoke mount, wall mount and pole mounting requirements. The following products are also available:

• Beacons – Ex d, Zone 1 and 2
• Flashing and rotating beacons- Ex d, Zone 1 and 2

Explosion protection junction / terminal boxes

Govan Industries’ extensive product range of enclosures includes flameproof, increased safety and dust ignition proof protection for use as junction / terminal boxes for Zone 1,2 21 and 22 hazardous areas. These enclosures come in a range of different materials, including aluminum, cast iron, stainless steel and GRP.

Custom built switchboards and control stations

With years of industry experience in supplying customers with onshore and offshore facilities, Govan have extensive electrical engineering expertise. Govan is able to provide solutions in custom building control panels, switchboards, distribution boards, motor starters and motor control panels to suit its customer requirements.
