Plural-Component Sprayers for Oil and Gas Pipelines
Graco provides plural-component proportioning spraying equipment for the corrosion protection of oil and gas pipelines.
Graco provides plural-component proportioning spraying equipment for the corrosion protection of oil and gas pipelines. Applying high-solids plural-component coatings efficiently and on-ratio can be a challenge. Our equipment meets the ratio challenge with a whole new set of technologies and features.
Graco has been active in the oil and gas market since the middle of the last century. It is a big market for us as all pipelines need to be coated inside and outside, which requires specific experience and expertise.
Plural-component sprayers for pipeline protection
Graco recently introduced a new proportioner to its family of plural-component sprayers. The new Graco XP70 plural-component sprayer is designed to pump, mix and atomise high-viscosity, faster-curing materials with superior results. The system handles environmentally friendly high-solids coatings with little or no solvent, hybrid polyurethanes, epoxies, very high-solids coatings (with up to 100% solids content), and materials requiring heat.
The Graco XP70 is a smart alternative to hand-mixing or hot-potting. In fact, it quickly pays for itself in reduced solvent costs and less wasted material. The sprayer reduces material waste because it mixes only as much material as is needed for the job at hand – unlike hand mixing, where any unused mixed material is usually thrown away at the end of the day.
High-pressure spraying equipment for towers, tanks and pipes
The Graco XP70 is rated at 7,250psi (500bar) to provide the high-pressure performance required for spraying high-solid coatings and viscous materials at longer hose lengths.
The Graco XP70 is well-suited for applying coatings to wind energy towers, tanks, pipes, water towers, railcars, bridges, ships, and structural steel, as well as applications in wastewater treatment, manhole and sewer reconditioning, and secondary containment.
Rugged sprayers with air motor technology
Graco’s new NXT Xtreme™ sprayers with NXT air motor technology meet our customers’ requirements even better than before. The superior performance makes the job completion a whole lot quicker and easier and possible downtime is now reduced to an all-time low. Thanks to improved durability and quality, the new NXT Xtreme sprayer will go on much longer. Actually, it will go on so much longer that even repairs will be a rare phenomenon.
The NXT Xtreme sprayer will stand beside you in the most rugged situations, as you will get not only a more powerful, de-icing motor with a lower level of noise, you will also have full control. You can now rely on the new DataTrak™ pump monitor, which will prevent the air motor to get into runaway condition and gives the necessary information about cycle counts, which reduces the number of necessary maintenances.
In addition, the polymer body armour won’t rust or dent; the heavy-duty cart will withhold in the most extreme conditions; and the slide rails, lift handles and flat-free, semi-pneumatic tires will make your new sprayer easy to handle. Finally, the new Cromex™ coated piston of the Xtreme guarantees a long life under extreme conditions.
Ratio-controlled plural-component sprayer system
The new Graco XM plural-component sprayer provides precise ratio control, allows users to download historical spraying data and handles a wide range of two-part materials. The Graco XM is engineered to proportion accurately, even at high flow rates; this allows customers to increase productivity and improve their profitability.
At the heart of the precision ratio assurance is Graco’s revolutionary dosing technology. The main material component (resin) flows constantly, while the minor component (hardener) is injected at higher pressures. Advanced sensing technology allows pumps to compensate for pressure fluctuations, resulting in accurate, on-ratio mixing for a better yield and less waste.
Spraying equipment for corrosion-protection coatings
In the oil and gas field it is easy to witness the constant development of applied materials, including normal protective coatings, zinc coatings, fast-curing polyurea coatings and foam applications for the insulation of pipes. Whichever material you need to apply, Graco can supply the best sprayer to do so.
Pipeline coating projects and expertise
The company has specialised contracts for coating pipelines in Central Europe, Russia, the Middle East and Africa. Our distributors have direct contacts, and have made mobile units that can spray protective coatings on the pipes during installation. This ensures a proper coating on the seals where two pipes are connected. We are also able to carry out the interior coating of pipes.
Over 2,200 people work for Graco either at its worldwide headquarters in Minneapolis, its European headquarters in Maasmechelen, Belgium (also serving the Middle East and Africa), or in Shanghai, which serves the Asia Pacific region.
