The 2009 Frost & Sullivan European Heat Exchanger Business Development Strategy Leadership Award has been awarded to Tranter. The company’s high performance, top-quality proprietary products have been used in several industrial and commercial establishments across the world. Tranter offers the largest range of plates available on the market and its heat exchanger (HE) technology ensures that its products require minimum maintenance, offer high thermal efficiencies and greater heat recovery potential.

“Tranter’s products have gained importance in key end-user industries including chemical, oil and gas, geothermal and power,” notes Frost & Sullivan research analyst, Syed Ahmed. “Simultaneously, the company has been constantly upgrading its already extensive product range and introducing newer and additional services in its packaging.” In order to better serve its customers, the product range has, during the past year, been expanded to include Pressko’s high-pressure, high-temperature fully welded product, and spiral HEs from HES heat exchanger systems.

Tranter’s factories are ISO 9001-certified and adhere to the highest standards in design, manufacture and testing of plate-type HEs. They offer uniformity, irrespective of the geographic location in which they have been manufactured. Tranter also conducts extensive R&D to further enhance the heat recovery potential, reduce the maintenance downtime and meet customer demands.

“The company’s high-quality products use plates, instead of tubes, which require lower amounts of raw materials such as steel and fuel,” adds Ahmed. “Thereby, its prices are comparatively lower than the market average price for plate exchangers, with customers getting value for money.”

This approach has resulted in creating loyal customer relationships. The prices of products are fixed, giving due consideration to competitor prices and the value for money that customers receive.

The company has a presence in more than 50 countries with service centres in North America, South America, Asia, Europe and the Middle East for cleaning, inspection and replacement of gasket and reconditioning of HE plates. A wide network of sales office and distributors enable rapid and fluid interaction with end users in different geographical regions.

“The value-added services that Tranter provides include training and support to its customers through its local offices located around the world,” remarks Ahmed. “A well-designed website with useful information as well as unique packing and packaging add to the value the company offers customers. At the same time, participation in trade shows promotes brand awareness, even while enabling the company to interact directly with customers and better understand their needs.”
