
Brazil oil & gas industry registered a 4.4% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.
The industry’s overall hiring an increased by 3.57% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.
Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed an 18.08% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.47% over the last three-month average share.
Top five job classifications in Brazil oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021
Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil oil & gas industry in June 2021.
1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 68.52% in June 2021, a 54.17% growth over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a 12.04% share, an increase of 30% over the previous month.
3) Computer Support Specialists held a share of 10.19%, registering a 38.89% decline from May 2021.
4) Database and Network Administrators and Architects captured a share of 8.33%, up 80% over the previous month.
Top five oil & gas companies in Brazil IT recruitment activity in June 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 35.44% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil oil & gas industry during June 2021 over May 2021.
Exxon Mobil posted 101 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a rise of 36.49% over the previous month, followed by Petrobras Distribuidora with 3 jobs and a flat growth. Baker Hughes Holdings with 1 IT jobs and DuPont de Nemours with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Syngenta recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 83.33%, up by 13.92% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with a 13.89% share, a growth of 114.29% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 2.78% share, up 200% over May 2021.
