July 2021 has seen an increase of 8.25% in the overall hiring activity when compared with June 2021.

IT jobs accounted for a 5.53% share in the industry’s total hiring activity in July 2021, registering an increase of 0.14% over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations leads by classification in July 2021
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers Occupations emerged as the leading IT occupation in Europe with a share of 50% in July 2021, a 21.82% growth over the previous month. Database and Network Administrators and Architects came in next, claiming a share of 14.68% in July 2021, marking a flat month-on-month increase. In the third place was Miscellaneous Computer Occupations with a share of 13.68% in July 2021, a 29.49% drop from June 2021.

Top five oil & gas companies in Europe’s IT recruitment activity in July 2021
The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, accounted for a combined average growth of 47.01% in the overall IT recruitment activity of Europe’s oil & gas industry during July 2021 over previous month.
Henkel AGKGaA posted 59 IT jobs in July 2021 and registered a an increase of 555.56% over the previous month, followed by Exxon Mobil with 38 jobs and a 7.32% drop. BASF with 29 IT jobs and Yara International with 28 jobs, recorded a 26.09% growth and a 47.37% increase, respectively, while Air Liquide recorded a 28% decline with 18 job postings during July 2021.
Country-wise composition of IT hiring in Europe’s oil & gas industry
Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 26.87% share in July 2021, a 52.11% rise over June 2021. the UK featured next with a 14.43% share, down 13.43% over the previous month. Hungary recorded a 12.44% share, a drop of 3.85% compared with June 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in July 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 68.66%, up by 4.94% from June 2021. Mid Level positions with a 16.67% share, a growth of 1.52% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 14.18% share, up 26.67% over June 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 0.5%, recording a month-on-month growth of 100%.
