Germany oil & gas industry registered a 1.2% rise in IT hiring activity in June 2021 compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics index.

The industry’s overall hiring decreased by 0.65% in June 2021 compared with May 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 4.88% share in June 2021, recording decrease of 0.44% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Germany oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in June 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 98.53% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany oil & gas industry in June 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 51.47% in June 2021, a 12.5% drop over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Analysts claimed a 19.12% share, an increase of 225% over the previous month.

3) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 11.76%, registering a 33.33% rise from May 2021.

4) Computer and Information Research Scientists captured a share of 8.82%, up 50% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Germany IT recruitment activity in June 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 20.45% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Germany oil & gas industry during June 2021 over May 2021.

BASF posted 20 IT jobs in June 2021 and registered a drop of 4.76% over the previous month, followed by Evonik Industries with 12 jobs and a 500% growth. Yara International with 11 IT jobs and Nufarm with 5 jobs, recorded a 35.29% drop and a flat growth, respectively, while Covestro recorded a 25% an increase with 5 job postings during June 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in June 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 77.94%, up by 29.27% from May 2021. Mid Level positions with an 11.76% share, a decline of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 10.29% share, up 600% over May 2021.
