John Wood Group’s IT hiring activity rises 15.2% in August 2021

UK-based company John Wood Group ’s IT hiring rose 15.2% in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 5.12% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 3.24% share in the company’s total hiring activity in August 2021, and recorded a 0.4% growth over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops John Wood Group IT hiring in August 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by John Wood Group , Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 42.42% in August 2021, and a 7.69% rise over July 2021, while Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed a share of 30.3% in August 2021, and registered a decline of 16.67%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 24.24% in August 2021, a flat growth from July 2021.

Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at John Wood Group

Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in August 2021 with a 54.55% share, which marked a 63.64% rise over the previous month.

North America stood next with 24.24%, registering a 20% month-on-month decline. Europe was the third leading region with a 21.21% share and a flat growth over July 2021.

India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 21.21% share in August 2021, a 16.67% growth over July 2021. The UK featured next with a 15.15% share, flat growth over the previous month. Australia recorded a 15.15% share, an increase of 400% compared with July 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead John Wood Group IT hiring activity in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 51.52%, flat growth from July 2021. Mid Level positions with a 30.3% share, a decline of 28.57% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Entry Level job ads with 12.12% share, up 300% over July 2021, while Senior postings accounted for 6.06%, recording a month-on-month decline of 33.33%.
