Netherlands oil & gas industry registered a flat growth in IT hiring activity in August 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The industry’s overall hiring is decreased by 13.6% in August 2021 when compared with July 2021.

Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 6.99% share in August 2021, recording an increase of 1.47% over the last three-month average share.

Top five job classifications in Netherlands oil & gas industry’s IT recruitment activity in August 2021

Out of the total job titles, the top five roles commanded a 100% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry in August 2021.

1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 57.69% in August 2021, registering an 11.76% decline over the previous month.

2) Computer and Information Research Scientists claimed a 19.23% share, a decrease of 37.5% over the previous month.

3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 7.69%, registering a flat growth from July 2021.

4) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations captured a share of 7.69%, down 60% over the previous month.

Top five oil & gas companies in Netherlands IT recruitment activity in August 2021

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average growth of 53.33% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Netherlands oil & gas industry during August 2021 over July 2021.

Akzo Nobel posted 9 IT jobs in August 2021 and registered a rise of 50% over the previous month, followed by Exxon Mobil with 5 jobs and a flat growth. LyondellBasell Industries with 5 IT jobs and Royal IHC with 3 jobs, recorded a 37.5% decline and a 200% flat growth, respectively, while Royal Dutch Shell recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during August 2021.

Junior Level job postings dominate in August 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 57.69%, down by 40% from July 2021. Entry Level positions with a 23.08% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 19.23% share, down 50% over July 2021.
