The largest producers of natural gas in Egypt are BP, Eni and Rosneft Oil. BP was the largest producer of natural gas in 2023 with output down by 3% on 2022.
Eni was the second-largest producer, with output down by 4%, and Rosneft Oil was third with a decrease of 13% on the previous year.
There are 33 natural gas producing fields in Egypt of which ten are located offshore and the rest onshore. The Mediterranean Sea has the majority of the natural gas fields in the country with 12.
