The machine includes a flame spray system with a flame spray unit capable of heating an annular junction portion and two annular end portions of an applied coating, as well as coating them with a thermoplastic polymer. A control system is integrated, featuring a temperature sensor to gather temperature values along the surface, a control unit to activate the flame spray unit based on acquired temperature values and threshold values, and position sensors to track the positions of the flame spray unit and temperature sensor relative to the surface.

Furthermore, the flame coating machine incorporates a guide system that can be clamped to the pipeline within a designated distance of the annular junction portion. This guide system facilitates the movement of the flame spray unit and temperature sensor along both an annular path and a linear path to effectively cover the surface. Additionally, the machine may include multiple flame spray units and temperature sensors, with a sophisticated guide system comprising a main frame, a rotor, and a carriage for precise positioning. Each support on the carriage is adjustable in a radial direction along the main frame, allowing for flexibility in coating different areas of the pipeline joint. The flame spray system is equipped with a fuel supply device and a polymer supply device to ensure the efficient operation of the flame spray unit.
