Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops Baker Hughes IT hiring in September 2022
Out of the total IT job titles posted by Baker Hughes, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 56.96% in September 2022, and a 45.16% rise over August 2022, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 17.72% in September 2022, and registered growth of 16.67%. Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 10.13% in September 2022, a 14.29% rise from August 2022.

North America stood next with 22.78%, registering a 20% month-on-month growth. Europe was the third leading region with a 12.66% share and a flat growth over August 2022.
In the fourth place was Middle East & Africa with a share of 5.06% and a month-on-month decline of 42.86%. South & Central America stood at the bottom of the table with a share of 1.27%, registering a 50% drop over the previous month.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 51.9% share in September 2022, a 173.33% growth over August 2022. US featured next with a 15.19% share, flat growth over the previous month. The UK recorded an 8.86% share, an increase of 133.33% compared with August 2022.
Junior Level jobs lead Baker Hughes IT hiring activity in September 2022
Junior Level jobs held a share of 63.29%, up by 72.41% from August 2022. Mid Level positions with a 31.65% share, a growth of 19.05% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 5.06% share, flat growth over August 2022.
