Germany-based company BASF’s IT hiring rose 10.2% in December 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.

The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 9.1% in December 2021 when compared with November 2021.

IT jobs claimed a 6.02% share in the company’s total hiring activity in December 2021, and recorded a 0.27% decline over the last three-month average share.

Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BASF IT hiring in December 2021

Out of the total IT job titles posted by BASF, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 70.69% in December 2021, and an 115.79% rise over November 2021, while Database and Network Administrators and Architects claimed a share of 22.41% in December 2021, and registered growth of 62.5%. Computer and Information Analysts held a share of 5.17% in December 2021, a flat growth from November 2021.

Europe drives IT hiring at BASF

Europe emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in December 2021 with a 63.79% share, which marked a 94.74% rise over the previous month.

Asia-Pacific stood next with 17.24%, registering a 42.86% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 12.07% share and a flat growth over November 2021.

In the fourth place was South & Central America with a share of 6.9% and a month-on-month increase of 300%.

Germany commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 63.79% share in December 2021, a 94.74% growth over November 2021. US featured next with a 10.34% share, flat growth over the previous month. Malaysia recorded a 10.34% share, an increase of 100% compared with November 2021.

Junior Level jobs lead BASF IT hiring activity in December 2021

Junior Level jobs held a share of 72.41%, up by 55.56% from November 2021. Entry Level positions with a 15.52% share, a growth of 50% compared with the previous month.

In the third place was Mid Level job ads with a 12.07% share, up 250% over November 2021.
