UK-based company BP’s IT hiring rose 20.2% in November 2021 when compared with the previous month, according to GlobalData’s Job Analytics database.
The company’s overall hiring activity increased by 0.66% in November 2021 when compared with October 2021.
IT jobs claimed a 14.73% share in the company’s total hiring activity in November 2021, and recorded a 3.38% growth over the last three-month average share.
Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers tops BP IT hiring in November 2021
Out of the total IT job titles posted by BP, Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers emerged as the leading occupation, recording a share of 62.79% in November 2021, and a 22.73% rise over October 2021, while Computer Support Specialists claimed a share of 13.95% in November 2021, and registered growth of 20%. Miscellaneous Computer Occupations held a share of 13.95% in November 2021, a 200% rise from October 2021.
Asia-Pacific drives IT hiring at BP
Asia-Pacific emerged as the leading region in the global oil & gas IT hiring activity in November 2021 with a 39.53% share, which marked an 112.5% rise over the previous month.
Europe stood next with 39.53%, registering a 21.43% month-on-month growth. North America was the third leading region with a 20.93% share and a flat growth over October 2021.
India commanded a leading presence in the region’s oil & gas industry IT hiring activity with a 30.23% share in November 2021, a 333.33% growth over October 2021. The UK featured next with a 23.26% share, up 11.11% over the previous month.
Junior Level jobs lead BP IT hiring activity in November 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 48.84%, up by 10.53% from October 2021. Mid Level positions with a 44.19% share, a growth of 72.73% compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 6.98% share, up 200% over October 2021.
