Out of the oil & gas industry’s total hiring activity, IT jobs claimed a 14.98% share in September 2021, recording a decrease of 1.33% over the last three-month average share.

By GlobalData1) Software and Web Developers, Programmers, and Testers recorded a share of 66.67% in September 2021, registering a 12.9% decline over the previous month.
2) Miscellaneous Computer Occupations claimed an 11.11% share, a decrease of 10% over the previous month.
3) Database and Network Administrators and Architects held a share of 11.11%, registering a 28.57% rise from August 2021.
4) Computer Support Specialists captured a share of 9.88%, up 14.29% over the previous month.

The top five companies, in terms of number of jobs as tracked by GlobalData, have accounted for a combined average decline of 4.88% share in the overall IT recruitment activity of Brazil’s oil & gas industry during September 2021 over August 2021.
Exxon Mobil posted 73 IT jobs in September 2021 and registered a drop of 10.98% over the previous month, followed by Equinor with 2 jobs and a flat growth. PetroRio with 1 IT job and Kemira with 1 jobs, recorded a flat growth and a flat growth, respectively, while Elkem recorded a flat growth with 1 job postings during September 2021.
Junior Level job postings dominate in September 2021
Junior Level jobs held a share of 90.12%, down by 8.75% from August 2021. Mid Level positions with a 7.41% share, registered a flat growth compared with the previous month.
In the third place was Entry Level job ads with a 2.47% share, down 33.33% over August 2021.
